Harbin is one of the largest cities in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province. Rarely visited by foreign tourists, this area is a land of massive industrial plants, renegade arms dealers, North Korean spies, and some of the coldest winter weather in the country.

We arrived in Harbin around 10am after taking a speedy 2-hour long bullet train ride from Shenyang. From the moment I stepped off the train, I could feel the piercing cold.
